Today, the curricula, the objectives of the subject matter, and the teaching approaches are important issues for the present and the future of the computing education.<\/p>\n
The special track on Information expects to cover current and future trends on Information Technologies in Education and to give the opportunity to educators, researchers, and practitioners with interests in educational aspects of all computing disciplines to present and discuss research results.<\/p>\n
Major topics include:<\/p>\n

Authors are invited to submit their original work that has not previously been submitted or published in any other venue. Each paper length should not exceed 8<\/strong> pages. All papers need to be in IEEE CS format<\/u><\/a><\/strong> and submitted via the dedicated Easychair submission site<\/strong><\/a> according to the instructions on the Initial Submissions<\/a> page.<\/p>\n Extended versions of selected papers will be included in three Special Issues in\u00a0Telecom<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/i><\/b>(100% APC-waived),\u00a0Signals<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/i>(discount or 100% APC-waived) and\u00a0Information\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/a>(50% APC-waived)\u00a0MDPI journals.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Dr. Spyridon Doukakis<\/strong>, Ionian University<\/em><\/p>\n Spyridon Doukakis holds a PhD in Education & Digital Technologies and he completed his postdoctoral research at Ionian University in the field of Neuroeducation. He is a researcher at Ionian University and educator of Mathematics and Computer Science at Pierce-The American College of Greece. He has worked as a Special Counselor for Teacher Training at the Institute of Educational Policy for the Hellenic Ministry of Education. He has co-authored more than 100 papers in international journals and conferences as well as book chapters. He has received a Fulbright scholarship and has been awarded with the Harvard Prize Book Teacher Award.<\/p>\n Dr. Theodoros Karvounidis,\u00a0<\/strong>University of Piraeus<\/em><\/p>\n Theodoros Karvounidis holds a PhD from the Department of Informatics of the University of Piraeus – Greece, an MBA from the University of Surrey \u2013 UK and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Democritus University of Thrace – Greece. Since 2014 Theodoros is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Informatics of the University of Piraeus and since 2018 he is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Joint Postgraduate Program \u201cModern Information Technologies and Services\u201d, which is offered by the University of Westen Macedonia in collaboration with the University of Piraeus. From 1991 to 2004 he worked in the private sector, participating in many IT and Telecom R&D projects, both in technical and managerial positions. From 2004 until today he has been an IT teacher in the Secondary Education.
